Stewardship of Time, Talents and Treasure

Stewardship as an Act of Discipleship

Scripture is very clear regarding the stewardship we are to recognize as part of our spiritual journey. Jesus said, as recorded in Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Notice He didn't say (as is often misquoted), "where your heart is, there your treasure will be also." Jesus taught very specifically that all we "have" is simply on loan from the Father, and we will be rewarded based on how well we use these things for His glory...not ours!

Similarly, our time and talents are given to us to be used for His glory...not ours (detect a theme here?). So, at The Park, we encourage everyone to get involved in the life of the body of Christ, using all you have, and everything you are, to build up the body of Christ and reach out in His name! If you would like to know more about the talents and spiritual gifts you have, CLICK HERE to take a spiritual gifts inventory. Then you can talk with one of our pastors about using those gifts in ministry here! The stewardship of our time is simply a matter of making it a priority. We would be glad to help you with that as well.

If you would like to support the ministries of the body by giving your tithes and offerings electronically, you can click on the picture of the Treasure Chest on this page. We also have a treasure chest on the information table at Re:Creation services, as well as a kiosk at the church. Any of our staff can help you. Blessings, as we serve together!
